Overview

New opening for a Home Health Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) at Select Home Health Services, a clinician-based, locally owned and operated skilled home health care agency in central Indiana. We provide skilled nursing and therapy services, committed to improving your health and independence in the comfort of your home. The HHA provides supportive and personal services to patients, respecting their dignity and privacy. This includes personal care and hygiene assistance.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from professional nurses and therapists in providing care.
• Assist with hygiene tasks such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Accurately perform and record measurements like vital signs and intake/output as per care plans.
• Observe and report safety hazards or significant patient observations.
• Attend staff meetings, complete required annual inservices, and participate in new employee orientation.
• Report patient complaints to the RN.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and agency policies.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Report abnormal patient findings as observed and per RN care plan.
• Perform delegated tasks, including non-invasive treatments, vital signs collection, ambulation, positioning, transportation, personal hygiene, feeding, socialization, ADLs, and health teaching reinforcement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with proof of certification.
• At least one year of full-time experience in direct patient care in an institutional or agency setting within the last five years.
• Positive attitude towards patients, families, and staff.
• Demonstrates compassion, responsibility, and cheerfulness.
• No findings against the aide related to abuse, neglect, or misappropriation on the nurse aide registry.
