Job summary

Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices (SKHOV) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to provide high-quality education to children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities.

As a SEIT, you will work closely with children and families to develop and implement individualized educational plans, promoting independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Special Education Certification.
• 2 years of experience with ASD and related developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans for children with ASD and related developmental disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including schools, homes, and community-based locations.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Conduct initial assessments, progress monitoring, and evaluations to inform educational planning and progress.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in autism education and related therapies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
