Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education and English as a Second Language Inclusion teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of educators and leaders. This role supports students with diverse needs and aligns with our commitment to high expectations and closing achievement gaps.

You will collaborate with school teams to implement IEP goals, provide targeted instruction, and ensure compliant, equitable access to the general curriculum.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree and MA teaching license in ESL and Moderate Disabilities.
• Must meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement district learning goals and objectives in alignment with state frameworks.
• Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays to progress in general curriculum.
• Write and implement goals and objectives consistent with IEPs and provide regular progress reports.
• Provide accommodations for student learning and testing; develop curriculum and analyze student work for MCAS Alternative Assessment progress.
• Collaborate with school staff to support modification needs for students.
• Assist with transition to adult living services when appropriate.
