Job summary

Versant Media is seeking an experienced Segment Producer for Money, Power, Politics with host Stephanie Ruhle, based in New York. The role is represented by the Writers Guild of America East and involves producing daily segments, interviews, and editorial planning for MS NOW and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in journalism, strong writing and political knowledge, and thrives under tight deadline pressure. Willingness to work in New York is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong writing skills and knowledge of American politics.
• Strong research and reporting skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in some form of journalism required (i.e. cable or network news, website, newspaper).

• Wide-range reader of news, including op-eds
• Proficient in both tape and desktop editing
• Edit room experience and breaking news experience is preferred

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news

Salary Range: $93,000 - $110,000
