Job summary

Passionately Pets in Northern Virginia is hiring a Midday Dog Walker to help families care for their dogs during the day. This part-time, supplemental income role offers outdoor activity, exercise, and the chance to meet local dogs and their people.

You will visit client homes for short visits, walk and feed pets, and ensure water is available while staying reliable and punctual. Compensation includes hourly pay plus tips.

Qualifications

• Must be available for at least 2 consecutive hours between 10AM and 3PM Monday-Friday.
• Residence in Northern VA within 5 miles of 22301 preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to perform duties.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access and data plan.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Enter the homes of clients and visit their pets for 15–30 minutes per visit.
• Walk pets as requested.
• Feed pets as requested and ensure water is fresh.
• Check for accidents or damage caused by pets.
• Clean up accidents or damage in client homes.
• Communicate with management as needed.

Passionately Pets, a local In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, is currently hiring exceptional dog walkersto join our wonderfulteam. This position isfun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs!

Midday Dog Walker Responsibilities:

• Enterthe homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15- 30 minutes each)
• Walk pets as requested
• Feedpets as requested
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
• Patrol homes for accidents ordamage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
• Communicate with Management

Midday Dog Walker Requirements and Qualifications:

• NorthernVA residence within 5miles of 22301 is preferred
• Must be available for at least 2 consecutive hours between 10AMand3PM Monday-Friday
• Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
• Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must beable toself-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate about animals
• Must feel comfortable working withand interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Must be able to make at least a 6 month committment, however longer is preferred
• Must be able to passcriminalbackground check

Compensation is $24-28/hour plus tips, paid on a per visit basis.

This is a Part Time SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME position.
