Job summary

Passionately Pets is a local in-home pet sitting and dog walking company seeking reliable pet sitters. This part-time supplemental income role offers outdoor activity, exercise, and interaction with dogs, cats and other companion animals in the Alexandria area.

Your duties include visiting clients' homes on weekdays, weekends and holidays, walking, feeding and ensuring pets have fresh water, with attention to safety and timely reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Must have own reliable transportation to perform duties.
• Must have your own smartphone with internet access and data plan.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
• Must be able to commit for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients' homes to care for pets for varying lengths of time.
• Walk pets as requested.

Passionately Pets, a local In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, is currently hiring exceptional pet sitters anddog walkersto join our wonderfulteam. This position isfun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs, cats and other companion animals!

Pet SitterResponsibilities:

• Workweekdays, weekends and holidays, as visits vary based on client needs
• Enterthe homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15- 30 minutes each)
• Act as primary care givers for pets while their owners are away
• Walk pets as requested
• Feedpets as requested
• Provide appropriate litterbox and/or cage clean up as required
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
• Patrol homes for accidents ordamage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
• Communicate with Management

Pet Sitter Requirements and Qualifications:

• NorthernVA residence within 7miles of 22301 is preferred
• Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
• Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must beable toself-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate about animals
• Must feel comfortable working withand interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Must be able to make at least a 6month commitment, however longer is preferred
• Must be able to passcriminalbackground check

This is a Part Time SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME position. Compensation is $24-$28 per hour plus tips and is paid on a per visit basis.
