Job summary

Passionately Pets in Northern Virginia seeks friendly pet sitters and dog walkers to join our in-home care team. You will visit clients' homes to care for dogs, cats and other companions, enjoying outdoor activity while earning extra income.

The role offers flexible hours, requires reliable transportation and a responsible attitude, with compensation of $24–$28 per hour plus tips. Set your own schedule and make a positive impact on local families.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation to visit client homes.
• Must have a smartphone with data access.
• Extremely detail oriented and able to follow instructions.
• Responsible, reliable and dependable.
• Punctual and able to self-manage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate about animals; comfortable with both small and large pets.
• Willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions.
• Able to commit to at least 6 months; longer preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301 preferred.
• Set your own hours and stay active.

Responsibilities

• Work weekdays, weekends and holidays, as visits vary based on client needs.
• Enter the homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15 - 30 minutes each).
• Act as primary care givers for pets while their owners are away.
• Walk pets as requested.
• Feed pets as requested.
• Provide litter box and/or cage cleanup as required.
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary.
• Patrol homes for accidents or damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners.
• Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients.
• Communicate with Management

Passionately Pets, a local In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, is currently hiring exceptional pet sitters and dog walkers to join our wonderful team. This position is fun and rewarding as you get to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and be loved by amazing local dogs, cats and other companion animals!

Pet Sitter Responsibilities:

• Work weekdays, weekends and holidays, as visits vary based on client needs

Pet Sitter Requirements and Qualifications:

• Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301 is preferred
• Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
• Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must be able to self-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate about animals
• Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Must be able to make at least a 6 month commitment, however longer is preferred
• Must be able to pass criminal background check
