Job description

Cross Roads Christian School provides a Christian-based Early Childhood Educational Program for children 6 weeks-12 years of age. Highly qualified teachers present a curriculum for 6- weeks to Pre-Kindergarten that is rich in age-appropriate social and language development. We emphasize bible-based teachings, phonics, writing skills, and themed vocabulary to foster a love for God and good communication skills. We offer a safe and nurturing environment where children get the attention and care they need.

Job Description

We are a Private Christian School seeking Part-time Private Pre-K Teacher. The responsibilities for this position include, but may not be limited to the following:

1. Manage the classroom program.
2. Create and follow weekly lesson plans.
3. Supervise and guide each child's development, conduct observations and maintain records.
4. Provide feedback to co‑teacher with regards to classroom activities and each child's development.
5. Positive communication with all parents and staff.
6. Work with Director and parents to solve any potential problems in the classroom concerning behavior issues and/or academic challenges.
7. Conduct quarterly Teacher/Parent conference meetings to discuss child's progress and development.
8. Maintain appropriate records on each child.
9. Takes daily attendance.
10. Provide daily head count to Cook of all meals served.
11. Follow posted classroom schedule at all times.
12. Maintain a clean and hazard‑free classroom at all times.
13. Participate in center events.
14. Assist in the training of other staff members.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
16. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs from floor to standing.
17. Must be able to sweep, mop, clean and disinfect classroom daily.
18. Must be able to hear and see to respond to children's needs in a quick manner.

As a Teacher/Caregiver in this facility, you are expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times. Teamwork is important and you are expected to be a cooperative team member.

Qualifications
