Job summary

Tom James Custom Clothing, Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a full-time Seamstress/Tailor or Master Tailor who excels in fine tailoring with attention to detail.

You will perform alterations on high-end garments, work in a fast-paced office, and ensure on-time delivery. Minimum 5 years tailoring experience, strong garment construction knowledge, and precise hand and machine sewing are required. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail or customer-service environment.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction in men’s and women’s apparel and ability to perform high-quality workmanship including hand and by machine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter and able to perform multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Make adjustments to men’s and women’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, dresses, and trousers.
• Shorten/lengthen sleeves.
• Taper sides of garments.
• Lower collars.
• Take in/out trousers waist.
• Take in/out seat and rise on pants.
• Shorten/lengthen trousers.
• Taper trouser thighs and foot widths.
• Ensure proper sizing of clients.
• Tracks detailed alteration production daily.
• Performs alterations on all garments submitted for alteration, presses finished garment, removes threads, and completes for client-ready.
• Completes all work promptly to ensure customer delivery date.
• Maintains a clean work environment and maintains all required paperwork related to daily assignments.

Tom James Custom Clothing sales office in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a full-time Seamstress/Tailor or Master Tailor who excels in his or her trade and possesses a talent for delivering the finest tailored clothing with excellent attention to detail.

Employees must be able to work quickly in a fast-paced office environment. Weekly hours for this position are 40. Compensation for this position startsat $27+ DOE (depending on experience).

Tailor Job Summary

Performs alterations as directed for our clients’ high-end garments and delivers professionally finished garments on time.

Demonstrates knowledge of fabric and standard tailoring concepts and procedures with quality workmanship for men’s and women’s garments.

Tailor Job Responsibilities and Duties
