Job description

Parkview Optometry in Irvine is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is professional, all smiles, and radiates positivity. We are a modern and state-of-the-art Optometry Practice that prides itself on having some of the best Doctors in the country, modern equipment, and quality products (frames and lenses). We are passionate and nerdy about what we do.

We also specialize in Dry Eyes and Complex Contact Lenses (Scleral Contacts).

We are looking for an experienced optician who has the potential to grow and be a leader at our growing office. If the right person with less experience applies, we are still excited to meet you, and if the fit is right, we would train you. Character, integrity, and personality will always catch our attention.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 1 year minimum optical experience required, 3 preferred.

FULL Time - Approximately 20-40 hours a week, hours may vary slightly.

Must work some Saturdays - Closed Sunday and Monday.

Responsibilities include:

1. Recall patients that are prebooked.
2. Schedule new patients that call.
3. Recall patients that are not prebooked.
4. Answer questions for patients regarding their eyecare gear and scheduling.
5. Take pride in practice appearance, showing initiative to keep it clean, attractive, and organized.
6. Secure and protect company assets within control.
7. Possess a “can do” spirit and strong drive for results; be self-motivated with a desire for continual learning and improvement.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Manager or as business needs dictate.

Additional responsibilities include outstanding customer service, educating and assisting patients in selecting the type of eye exam they need, taking patient payments, scheduling patients, front desk customer service duties, answering phones, verifying and billing insurance plans, and communicating with doctors, staff, and patients. We are a cross-trained team.
