Syngenta is offering a Seeds Production Research Field Technology Intern position in Waterloo, NE. The role involves designing experiments, field and lab prep, data analysis, and hands-on exposure to Production & Supply and R&D activities.

The internship runs May 2027 – August 2027, with Health, Safety, and Environmental policy adherence as a priority. Candidates should be pursuing relevant degrees and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • > Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • > Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Biology, Ag Business, Precision Agriculture, Ag Mechanized Systems, or another closely related field, with a graduation date on or after December 2027.
  • > Must be a current student continuing education after internship term.
  • > Prefer Junior or Senior standing and a valid Driver's License.
  • > All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • All tasks and activities are executed following Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Develop understanding of Inbred and Hybrid Seed Production in trialing and innovation.
  • Utilize precision agriculture technologies to drive efficiencies in hybrid seed production and trial research.
  • Foster an environment for process improvement across Seeds Production Research.
  • Lead and manage assigned trial activities (planting, plot maintenance, irrigation, treatments).
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Support internal trials with internal Production & Customer teams.
  • Develop communication skills and promote concise, productive communication.
  • Gain exposure to end-to-end seeds business through tours of other functions.
  • Prepare a final report and presentation for stakeholders on the assigned trial.
  • Assist with design and development of prototype field equipment for corn pollen trials.
