Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator to support heavy civil construction projects in the Kansas City area.

You will operate bulldozers, perform grading, site development, and earthwork tasks, and collaborate with foremen and other equipment operators to ensure accurate elevations and safe, productive work sites. • 2+ years of experience operating dozers in heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of grade, slope, and elevation control.
• Experience working around GPS or grade control systems (preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to Kansas City job sites.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.
• Preferred Experience Heavy highway, roadwork, or mass excavation projects.
• Experience working in team-driven, fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel as projects require.

Emery Sapp & Sons is hiring an experienced Dozer Operator to join our Kansas City operations. This role will be supporting heavy civil construction projects including mass grading, road building, site development, and earthwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers (D6-D8 or similar) for:
• Rough and finish grading
• Site prep and earthmoving
• Roadway construction and embankments
• Read and interpret grade stakes, cut/fill plans, and project layouts
• Work closely with foremen, grade checkers, and other equipment operators
• Maintain proper slopes, grades, and elevations per project specs
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all ESS safety policies and OSHA standards
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and productive
• Assist with other equipment or labor tasks as needed
