Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Corn Sorters for a leading agriculture company in Algona, IA. This temporary/contract role offers weekly pay and the possibility of further opportunities.

You'll participate in seed production tasks, operate conditioning equipment, assist with warehouse operations, and help meet safety and quality standards. High school diploma required; agriculture knowledge preferred; CDL may be needed later.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• Associate degree in agriculture preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL may be needed later).
• Knowledge of agriculture and plant operations preferred.
• Willingness to work across field, plant and warehouse environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plant, maintain, and monitor seed production fields.
• Sort, dry, shell, and process crops as part of harvest activities.
• Operate conditioning equipment and perform sizing, gravity separation, bagging, and palletizing.
• Support warehouse operations including forklift use and inventory handling.
• Follow ISO work instructions and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team to meet production quality and efficiency.
