Job summary

KWS Seeds LLC in Tangent, Oregon, is seeking a Quality Control Technician (full-time, permanent) to perform seed quality testing and SOP maintenance. The role includes rotating shifts, data entry, and training new staff at a facility in Tangent, OR.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, keen attention to detail, and willingness to obtain forklift certification; prior seed testing knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and aptitude for multi-tasking.
• Ability to use forceps with keen eye for detail.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed.
• Ability to become forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests including germinations, purities, moisture testing and seed quality standards.
• Create, update and follow QC SOPs.
• Maintain lab testing equipment.
• Data entry using multiple input tools.
• Train new/temporary employees on SOPs.
• Operate forklift and pull/store samples as needed.
