Syngenta Seeds in Nampa, Idaho, seeks a Quality Control Technician to perform the initial physical inspection and registration of seed health, physiology, and genetic purity samples. The role ensures sample integrity, traceability, and precise data entry to support timely testing and routing to downstream laboratories.

The ideal candidate has a lab or QC background, strong Excel and SAP skills, and experience in an international work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher in Biological Science or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory or quality testing-related function (seed company preferred).
• Strong computer skills, particularly Excel, SAP or other databases.
• Knowledge of seed testing lab processes and QC laboratory methods.
• Experience in an international work environment with diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial physical inspection and registration of incoming Seed Health, Physiology, and Genetic Purity samples.
• Maintain sample integrity and traceability with accurate data entry to support testing initiation.
• Support QC lab testing activities and timely delivery of samples to laboratories.
• Assist in investigation of complaints by locating inventory and reviewing historical records.
• Communicate test results and maintain records using computer-based systems.
• Contribute to data-driven quality decisions related to inventory disposition and compliance policies.
• Assist in development and validation of new QC processes to improve efficiency.
