Job summary

Beck’s Hybrids in Pontiac, IL seeks a hands-on team member to operate the bagging line and assist with seed processing, treating and packaging. You will follow directions from supervisory staff and help maintain product quality and production flow.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, ability to perform simple calculations, a valid driver’s license, and completion of forklift training. It is a full-time, on-site position with a safety-conscious team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations.
• Must be able to complete Beck’s Fork Lift training.

Responsibilities

• Follow directives from the Bagging Lead or Plant Manager on processing products.
• Operate processing equipment in the plant.
• Operate the seed treater.
• Operate the bagging line.
• Report quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Report ongoing status and supply needs to keep operations running.
• Assist with quality control in processing, treating, and packaging.
• Assist with husking, sorting, drying, discard and shelling operations.
• Assist with seed box washing activities.
• Record bagging information for the leadership.
• Perform other duties as required.
