Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Charlotte, NC. This flexible role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings.

Pay rate is 23.41 USD per hour. The position supports a fixed anchor shift with a six-month commitment and offers a pathway to full-time hours up to 40 per week.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of activities involving employees, customers, contractors, and deliveries.
• Prepare accurate reports on incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate: $23.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
