Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Armed Patrol) in Charlotte, NC. This part-time role involves patrolling financial institution locations, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering high-quality customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents and alarms, coordinating with site contacts and emergency personnel, and adhering to post orders and armed post guidelines while ensuring security and safety across the premises.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Support branch and office operations during opening, closing, cash movement, and other higher-risk activities by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders and armed post guidelines.

• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
