Job summary

Simplex is supporting an Austin-based agency to hire a Security & Vulnerability Analyst. The role focuses on analyzing front-end systems to detect architectural pitfalls and endpoints, performing vulnerability studies, and mapping threats across integrated platforms, including SharePoint.

The candidate should have 3-5 years in a SOC/ISO environment and be able to work with Senior Engineers on-site in Austin. The position is a contract, on-site role, requiring Monday–Friday presence in Austin.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial experience in a SOC or ISO environment.
• Hands-on analyst with front-end architecture review experience.
• Strong communication and ability to work autonomously with Senior Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze front-end systems and architecture to identify pitfalls and exposed endpoints.
• Perform endpoint detection and mapping across the Agency's systems.
• Conduct vulnerability studies and real-world risk assessments.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities related to SharePoint integrations across systems.
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations to engineering.
