Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer to perform unarmed patrols at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will deter incidents, monitor access, and respond to alarms while delivering professional customer service in a team-driven environment.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and requires at least 2 years of security-related experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, gates, perimeter areas, and other designated locations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating concerns to site contacts or emergency responders.
• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation and communicate observations to site leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Certification in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, gates, perimeter areas, and other designated locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the site.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations involving unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
