Job summary

Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois seeks a Security Specialist II to provide safe transportation for Juvenile Temporary Detention Center residents and staff, transferring custody to the Sheriff’s Department or other agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Class C CDL with a P endorsement required.
• 2 years of security guard experience; governmental experience preferred.
• U.S. citizenship; 21+ years of age at application.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation for residents and staff to court, hospitals, and other locations.
• Ensure secure transfer of custody and proper documentation of transports.
• Operate security and communication equipment and record incidents in the system of record.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, staff, and visitors.
• Comply with JTDC policies, procedures, and court orders.
