Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, is seeking a Rapid Response Team Specialist for the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center in Chicago. The role supports safety for staff, residents, and visitors in a 24-hour facility and acts as a frontline responder to disturbances and emergencies.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years in law enforcement or a secured facility, and U.S. citizenship. Internal candidates with JTDC experience are eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, preferably in criminal justice or related field.
• Two+ years’ experience in law enforcement, military, or secured facility.
• U.S. citizenship and 21+ years old at application submission.
• Internal candidates with five years JTDC experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond to disturbances and emergencies as a rapid response team member.
• Maintain safety of staff, residents, and visitors 24/7.
• Complete accurate incident reports following use of force or restraints.
• Operate security equipment and conduct searches per JTDC policy.
