Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Security Supervisor Trainer in New York to support leadership in identifying training needs, designing curricula, and facilitating training for West and Morningside Security personnel. You will analyze progress, recommend updates, and ensure compliance with records and certifications.

Responsibilities include coordinating programs, conducting orientations, managing training spaces, and collaborating across hospital disciplines to enhance crisis prevention

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree, military experience, or two years of college coursework.
• 3+ years of experience; knowledge of computers and training skills.
• New York State Security Guard License required.
• Certified Instructor (CPI) and Basic Instructor or Instructor Development Course within 6 months.
• BCLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Leadership in developing, coordinating, presenting and following up of training programs.
• Conduct orientation sessions to acclimate new hires to security policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff complete mandatory training and maintain records of completion.
• Manage training space, scheduling and resources.
• Communicate with all levels to meet training needs and participate in cross-disciplinary training where applicable.
• Utilize adult learning best practices to ensure transfer of knowledge to trainees.
• Maintain accurate records and provide periodic training completion reports.
• Provide supervisor shift coverage as required.
• Perform duties in SP53 – Security Field Supervisor role and other duties as assigned.
• Assist in reviewing security video related to incidents and report findings.
