Tarian is seeking a Security Training Officer in Oregon to lead the Security Training Program, develop and standardize courses, and maintain certifications for handgun, TASER, CPI, and handcuffing. You will manage training across sites and ensure post duties are performed to standard.

The role requires strong training facilitation skills, experience in security, and the ability to produce clear training records. Full-time benefits are included, with potential state-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Law Enforcement or related field preferable.
• Experience in security, loss prevention or law enforcement; supervisory experience may be substituted.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of client site and posts; proven ability to train personnel.
• Able to facilitate training and pass competency tasks within required time.
• Must obtain applicable licenses/certifications; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team completes training and is fully capable of post duties.
• Respond to training requests for designated site(s).
• Facilitate training to groups of varying size, including NSOO and de-escalation tactics.
• Conduct monthly competency training and verify agent proficiency.
• Maintain training records in Vision and iLEAD; write clear reports.
• Develop and update OJT checklists, exams, and reference materials.
