The role includes developing training materials, conducting classes, and ensuring compliance with policies. · AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you’ll contribute:
Under limited supervision, The Security Training Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of the AdventHealth Security Training programs. Works under the direction of the Director of Safety and Security, to facilitate and/or coordinate necessary de-escalation training for staff and Security Officer Training at all AdventHealth Tampa locations. This includes mandatory licensure and hospital required education and tracking. Conducts specific job competencies and all training for Security personnel. Schedules and presents classes; helps develop Computer Based Learning (CBL) modules; conducts and coordinates de-escalation training classes; and serves as the primary instructor or arranges for and supports other Subject Matter Experts in presenting training classes. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Position requires psychological and physical fitness screenings.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Develops and maintains lesson plans and schedules for all Security related training programs and de-escalation training programs for necessary staff. · Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to achieve organizational training goals. · Continuously monitors and ensures that Security Training is evaluated and compliant with AdventHealth Security Department Policies, Procedures, Licensing, and the Physical Environment Security Management System requirements. · Assess, design, plan, implement, and evaluate a developmental program for all levels of officers and leadership. · Develops working knowledge of the E-Learning process; in order, to track and document employee completion of required CBLs and other educational processes. · Evaluates training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, and handouts. Amends and revises materials, as necessary; in order, to adapt to changes that occur. · Actively participates, as an instructor or facilitator, or arranges for and supports other Subject Matter Experts in presenting training classes. · Provides ongoing evaluation of education programs, including the development of methods to measure quality and skills testing that will allow for structured feedback to users.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Associate/Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
· 5+ years of experience in Security, the Military, Law Enforcement, or Training/Education with heavy customer contact.
· Driver's License (DL) Florida Class E.
· Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
