General Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic person to join our team. In this role, you will design and deliver impactful education and wellness plans for our 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plan clients. You will work closely with our retirement plan team to develop and implement education strategies tailored to the needs of each organization's retirement plan committee. Your efforts will directly contribute to helping employees understand their plan options and make informed decisions for their financial futures.
Primary Responsibilities
Our Retirement Education Specialist must have a strong work ethic, possess the ability to work with a team and have solid multitasking skills.We are looking for someone to make intelligent suggestions and implement changes thoughtfully and strategically with attention to detail.He/she will possess excellent customer service skills and be able to travel as needed.Some of the specific responsibilities include:
·Build education timelines for plan sponsor clients, schedule education seminars, and work with clients to promote participation
·Create and present retirement and investment educational presentations to plan participants at group meetings
·Provide enrollment to new participants explaining the features and benefits of the company’s defined contribution plan and the importance of saving for retirement
·Conduct in-person and video-based one-on-one and group meetings to engage employees and provide clear, understandable education about their retirement plan options
·Provide general assistance and give investment advice to participants regarding their asset allocations and diversification of investments and generate retirement income analysis projections
·Serve as a key point of contact for employees seeking guidance on their retirement plan options, asset allocations, helping to educate on plan transfers and working closely with their retirement plan committees to ensure that education strategies align with their goals and objectives
·Proactively address client questions and issues by working with vendors to create effective solutions
·Create engaging newsletters, educational materials, and campaigns to promote employee participation and understanding of their retirement plans
·Review and implement quarterly plan action items
·Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to retirement plan education and employee engagement
·Travel as needed to meet with clients, primarily within Central Florida
·Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
·Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Education, or a related field preferred
·Minimum of 3 years of experience in retirement plan education, financial planning, or a related area
·FINRA Series 6 or 7 licensed required
·Clean credit and U4 history
·Strong knowledge of 401(k) and 403(b) plans, including fiduciary responsibilities (3(21) and 3(38) fiduciary services)
·Knowledge of ERISA, DOL, and FINRA rules and regulations
·Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to a diverse audience of all sizes
·Experience creating educational materials and campaigns, including digital and print formats
·Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
·Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
·Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks at once
·Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
·Willingness to be in the office the majority of the time, with some travel required
·Ability to travel up to 25%
·Ability to attend benefit fairs / career days that could be outside normal office hours
