Job summary

Battelle is seeking a Security Test & Evaluation Technician for an on-site role in Atlantic City, NJ, working with the Aviation Security Division to support DHS/TSA IT&E events at TSL. You will assist test planning, execution, data collection, and analysis for security screening equipment.

The position requires on-site presence five days a week, strong communication skills, and experience with CAD/3-D printing for test articles. Travel <10% and US citizenship with DoD/DHS suitability are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a scientific field with 3+ years relevant experience, or completion of a technician program with 5+ years experience.
• Willing to work onsite at the TSL facility five days a week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with development, documentation, and build of test articles supporting testing of security screening equipment.
• Demonstrated motivation and ability to learn independently.
• Must be able to travel; travel expected to be <10%.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance and DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

• Test planning, test execution, and data collection for security screening technologies at the Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL).
• Support test article development and maintenance using CAD and 3-D printing for new parts.
• Prepare test specimens, configure instruments, and assist with data reduction and analysis.
• Interfacing daily with clients and stakeholders on-site during test events.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 50 lbs and stage heavy equipment as needed.
• Document, design, and build test articles to support testing efforts.
