Job summary

Battelle’s Critical Infrastructure business line seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead R&D, test, and evaluation of security systems for DHS. Based at Crystal City Operations in Arlington, VA, you will work across lab and field settings with regular client interaction and strong communication skills.

The role requires a BS in a technical field and extensive T&E experience; travel up to 25% is expected. Candidates with ISO 9001 knowledge and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in Test and Evaluation (T&E) including planning, execution and reporting.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with security disciplines: non-intrusive inspection, physical security, and C2 integration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• U.S. citizenship; eligible for DOD Secret Clearance and TSA Security Suitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal acquisition-based test planning, execution, data collection, reduction and analysis.
• Provide day-to-day direction to junior staff and foster innovative processes.
• Engage with IPTs, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance technologies.
• Support design reviews and technology development across security disciplines.
• Participate in conferences and assist with technical proposals.
• Generate white papers to identify further research opportunities.
• Apply ISO 9001 principles to ensure quality across activities.
