Job summary

OnQCx is seeking an experienced Security/Telecom Superintendent to oversee installation, coordination, and quality of on-site security and telecommunications systems on a large-scale construction project in the Amarillo area.

The ideal candidate has strong low-voltage expertise in data centers or other mission-critical environments and can lead subcontractors, ensure safety, and maintain schedule adherence while delivering top-quality installations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 5 years focused on security/telecom/low-voltage systems.
• Proven background on mission-critical projects (data centers, hospitals, large-scale industrial).
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, access control, CCTV, BMS integrations, and fiber/copper installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, one-lines, and shop drawings.
• Effective communicator and problem-solver, able to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and QA/QC practices in construction environments.
• Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead field supervision of subcontractors performing security, telecom, and low-voltage installations, including access control, CCTV, structured cabling, DAS, and related systems.
• Coordinate with General Contractor, Owner's Rep, and trade partners to align installation activities with project schedule and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with design documents, specifications, and applicable codes/standards.
• Monitor installation progress, conduct daily walkdowns, and identify/resolve field issues.
• Oversee quality assurance and control processes, ensuring testing, inspections, and turnover packages are completed accurately.
• Support commissioning and turnover of security/telecom systems.
• Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring all subcontractors adhere to site safety requirements and protocols.
• Report progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to project leadership.
• Review submittals, RFI responses, and redline drawings to confirm constructability.
• Support integration of telecom/security systems with mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure.
