Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Security Technician I to protect assets, employees, visitors, and facilities at the Salt Lake City campus. The role conducts patrols, monitors activities, responds to emergencies, and supports safety initiatives while following the bioMérieux Quality System.

Ideal candidates will have strong observation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently on a rotating schedule, including evenings and nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Utah Unarmed Security Guard Certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine security patrols of buildings, parking lots, roadways and grounds.
• Monitor access points and observe for unauthorized activity or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents with accurate shift documentation.
• Escort employees to vehicles during all hours of operation.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain logs and electronic security documentation.
• Assist with weather-related safety efforts and snow removal operations.
