Job summary

Security Engineers, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to install, configure, and service CCTV and access control systems across client sites. You will work with readers, cameras, and door hardware, coordinating with contractors and following installation diagrams.

The role requires troubleshooting, data networks knowledge, and reliable travel between facilities. A valid driver’s license is required, with full-time hours including some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in electronics, engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of security systems technician experience or 3 years of related experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and working knowledge of electronics, computer hardware/software, data networks, cabling, and AC/DC voltage.
Valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards.
Must be willing travel between the client facilities for special projects.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, assemble, and program access control and VMS systems, including card readers, electronic door hardware, cameras, panic devices, gates, and intercom/phone devices.
Act as a representative of the client when dealing with outside contractors on security device installations and repairs.
Service and troubleshoot systems according to approved guidelines and standards.
Read and follow installation prints and diagrams.
Respond to trouble and occasional emergency after-hours calls.
Document installation and maintenance activity accurately.
Maintain a safe work environment and keep security information confidential.

Education & Experience:

Minimum:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3+ years of verifiable low voltage tech experience

Preferred:

Education: Associate degree or higher preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
