Required Skills
Active TSSCI
High School Diploma OR GED required.
4+ years of experience installing, servicing, or supporting Access Control Systems (Lenel, Genetec, CCURE, Software House, AMAG, or similar)
Experience with structured cabling installations
Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling
Ability to terminate, test, and troubleshoot telecommunications infrastructure
Experience with CCTV, security, or low-voltage systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, telecom drawings, and rack elevations
Experience installing racks, cabinets, cable trays, pathways, and telecommunications equipment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Any Access Control Certifications
BICSI Installer Level 2 or BICSI Tech Certification

Insight Global is seeking a TSSCI Technician to support a large federal client of ours to support support mission-critical projects. This role will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and electronic security systems including access control and CCTV platforms. This position requires up to 75% travel, primarily throughout Northern Virginia, with some travel to project sites across the United States.
Responsibilities
Install and support structured cabling, fiber optic, access control, CCTV, and telecommunications systems
Terminate, test, certify, and troubleshoot copper and fiber infrastructure
Support installation of card readers, door hardware, access control panels, and associated security devices
Install and maintain MDFs, IDFs, racks, cabinets, pathways, grounding systems, and related infrastructure
Perform QA/QC inspections to ensure work meets client and industry standards
Survey and document existing telecommunications infrastructure
Maintain safety compliance and ensure proper handling of tools, materials, and equipment
