Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Security Officer responsible for protecting assets, people, and facilities at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. The role is 100% on-site with supervision of a security team and oversight of key systems including CCTV and access control.

You will manage visitor vetting, support facility projects, and maintain badge programs. Requirements include a high school diploma, 6+ years of security experience, and a valid driver’s license, with CPR/First-Aid training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years in the security industry.
• 2+ years in direct line management.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Knowledge of security system electronics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR and First-Aid training or certification.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of the security team to keep facilities and employees safe.
• Own security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection.
• Supervise vetting and processing of visitors, contractors and guests.
• Coordinate resources for maintenance, repairs and facility projects.
• Manage identification badge fulfillment and accountability.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies (fire/medical/suspicious person).
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
