Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electric circuits.
• Understand electric circuit diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals and use same to troubleshoot system problems, make repairs, and install new components.
• Use electric diagnostic test equipment and tools of the electric and electronics trade.
• Understand and apply standard trade practices in performing work.
• Can use computers to perform search functions, standard work processing, spreadsheet applications, and other typical office PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot problems with security systems and related components.
• Repair or replace electronic and low voltage security system components.
• Install components and associated wiring to security system to expand capability of existing system.
• Interact with customers via phone and in person to coordinate work.
• Perform routine and recurring preventive maintenance on security systems.
• Identify and report problems with security systems that are beyond electronic/electric problems.
