Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking a Service Technician to perform repair and maintenance of low voltage cabling, access control devices, cameras, and related security systems. You will install, diagnose, and service components including fiber, Cat5e/Cat6, and IP devices, coordinating with project teams to deliver high-quality service.

The role requires familiarity with security platforms, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in physical security, low‑voltage, IT, networking, electronics, or related field.
• Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturers such as Genetec, Open Options, ACRE, Software House, LenelS2, Avigilon, Milestone, Hanwha, Axis, Verkada, Bosch, DMP, Aiphone, 2N, OpenPath, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and visitor management systems.
• Install, service, and maintain IP and analog video surveillance systems including cameras (fixed, panoramic, PTZ, etc.).
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and communication issues affecting security systems.
• Document service activities and corrective actions in service management platforms.
