Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking a Service Technician to repair and maintain low-voltage cabling and electronic security systems. The role involves installing and servicing access control devices, cameras, and IP/analog video systems across facilities.

You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to deliver high-quality service. Willingness to learn new tech is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in physical security, low-voltage, IT, networking, electronics, or related field.
• Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control, video surveillance, intrustion detection, and intercom systems.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Genetec, Open Options, LenelS2, Avigilon, Bosch, Milestone, Verkada or similar.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, visitor management).
• Install and maintain access control devices (card readers, controllers, door contacts, exit devices, locks).
• Maintain IP and analog video systems (fixed, PTZ, thermal cameras).
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, and communication issues affecting security systems.
• Install, test, and certify low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, fiber) and pathways.
