Job summary

HCI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Security Service Technician to inspect, service, test, and repair Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems in commercial buildings in the Los Angeles area.

The role requires driving, hardware installation, programming, and strong customer communication. Training is provided; on-site work includes climbing and lifting up to 75 lbs. Excellent benefits and growth potential are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Background check and driving record requirements as applicable.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer applications.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
• Reliable, punctual attendance expected.
• Physical ability to perform labor including lifting up to 75 lbs and climbing.
• Ability to work in unusual positions and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and scheduled service calls for Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Systems.
• Test systems after repairs to ensure proper performance.
• Perform maintenance service calls at customer sites.
• Install, diagnose and repair wiring and control panels for security systems.
• Maintain and repair CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion components.
• Complete all required company paperwork.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, manuals.
• Assist customers on site with questions professionally.
• Coordinate with other contractors and building owners.
• Resolve field problems by researching alternatives.
• Preferred: California Alarm Company Employee card or ability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of systems including RS2, Samsung Hanwha, DMP, Bosch, Avigilon, Milestone.
• Possess knowledge of programming and technologies related to these systems.
