Responsibilities

• Install, program, and test CCTV, fire, alarm and escape systems.
• Work in commercial settings (banks, complexes, schools, hospitals, manufacturing, warehouses).
• Handle system cabling, components and devices.
• Write and execute system programming.
• Perform startup checks, certification testing, and diagnostics to meet specs.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and ensure compliance.
• Ensure building code compliance.
• Serve as primary on-site interface and provide technical support.
• Operate hand and power tools and train clients/users.
• Coordinate with project managers to track timelines and risks.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians.
• Travel across Iowa to support business growth.
• Read blueprints and perform basic technical calculations.
• Conduct system start-up, check-outs and customer certification.

Description

Join our Global Service Systems Integrator client as a SECURITY SYSTEMS INSTALLER. The SECURITY SYSTEMS INSTALLER will support systems to include structured cabling, low voltage, security, fire, alarm and escape services. The SECURITY SYSTEMS INSTALLER will work in a crew of 3-6 Technicians and Leads who will program, configure, and document duties relating to commercial network systems. The SECURITY SYSTEMS INSTALLER is a great opportunity for a mid-level Low Voltage Technician, Cabling or Data Center professional ready to expand their career.

DUTIES

• Install, program, and test, services relating to CCTV, fire, alarm and escape.
• Work in a commercial setting to include banks, complexes, schools, hospitals, manufacturing, warehouse and more.
• Handle system cabling, components and devices.
• Write and execute system programming.
• Perform start up checks, certification testing, and diagnostics to ensure hardware and software meets design specifications.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and ensure compliance.
• Comprehend building codes and ensure compliance.
• Act as a primary on-site interface and provide technical support.
• Operate hand and power tools, as well as train clients and users.
• Work closely with the project managers and operations managers to track project timelines, manage risks, and documentation.
• Coach and mentor less experienced technicians.
• Drive across Iowa to support business growth.
• Read and interpret blueprints and make basic technical calculations.
• Conduct system start-up, check-outs and certify with customers.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
