Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup/check-out, certify, and train customers on security, fire/life safety, and building automation systems. You will work on projects of varying complexity and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues while delivering top-tier service.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of field experience, strong technical and programming skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant field service experience preferred.
• High School/GED or equivalent with related certifications.
• Product-specific and industry licenses/certifications are a plus.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, startup, certify and train on security systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and manuals for installation procedures.
• Provide customer training and documentation for project closure.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers on complex issues.
• Maintain safety, quality, and timely delivery across projects.
