Job summary

Integrated Protection Services in Nashville, TN is seeking a Security Technician to install project specific devices while ensuring compliance with fire alarm, building and electrical codes. You will mentor entry level technicians on jobsites and coordinate with project managers and other trades.

The role requires physical aptitude, tool proficiency, ability to read blueprints, program security systems, and perform preventive maintenance. Travel and occasional after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3–5 years of experience as an entry level technician or related field.
• OSHA-10 hour certification.
• Efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to operate hand and power tools and use company software.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Lift and climb abilities; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install project specific devices per applicable codes.
• Mentor and coach junior technicians on jobsites.
• Program and set up security, access, CCTV, nurse call systems.
• Coordinate with project manager and other trades.
• Troubleshoot system problems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Read blueprints and install cabling.
• Maintain tools and vehicles; follow safety policies.
• Travel as needed and work after hours/weekends.
