Job summary

i2G Systems in Sterling, VA, seeks a Security Systems Engineer to design and support security solutions for new and existing clients, collaborating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in the industry and a degree with certifications (Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Milestone). You will review drawings, create BOMs, and provide on-site technical support and documentation for deployments.

Qualifications

3–7 years experience in the electronic security industry.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience designing and planning access control and video systems.

Responsibilities

Possess thorough understanding of standard electronic security tech (ACS, IDS, FDS, CCTV) and related hardware/software.
Review project drawings and documents; support RFI/RFP responses.
Design, develop, and implement security system installations, upgrades, and repairs.
Create solution design docs (drawings, BOMs, summaries).
Provide technical support to in-office and on-site team members.
Assist in documenting new technology deployments with customers.
