Job summary

i2G Systems is seeking a Jr. Security Engineer to support engineering design and field deployment of security solutions for clients. You will review plans, design installations, and assist with documentation and RFI/RFP responses.

The role emphasizes learning current security technologies, collaborating with internal and external teams, and providing detail oriented engineering support across ACS, IDS, CCTV, and related systems. Some travel and pre-employment screening may apply.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Engineering or related degree or 2+ years in the industry.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field if no experience.
• Experience in design and planning of MEP systems.
• Ability to perform load calculations for power, data, conduit, HVAC.
• Strong time management and ability to multitask without supervision.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication for client interaction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Project, Visio, BlueBeam, AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and security floor plans and device schedules.
• Design, develop, and implement installation and upgrade solutions.
• Assist with Field Site Survey documents and RFIs/RFP responses.
• Create BOMs, permitting packages, and design summaries.
• Learn current electronic security technologies (ACS, IDS, CCTV, biometrics).
• Participate in hands-on field work with installation and integration teams.
