Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to design and estimate secure enterprise head end systems in Huntsville, AL. You will create technical drawings, BOMs, and network layouts while supporting hardware, software, and network commissioning for Federal projects.

The role requires presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences and traveling up to 25%. A U.S. citizen able to obtain required security clearances is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-sales engineering support and cost estimating.
• Proficient with computer-aided drafting tools.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 20-25%.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Design, estimate, and develop security systems for enterprise head end systems.
• Create drawing packages, BOMs, and network layouts.
• Support hardware, software, and network commissioning for Federal Security Projects.
• Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals.
• Provide field changes for as-built drawings and software.
• Select controllers and materials to meet cost targets.
• Ensure reuse of proven designs and programs.
• Assist in loading and commissioning system controllers.
• Validate system functionality and troubleshoot with subcontractors.
• Keep management informed of progress and issues.
• Adhere to safety standards.
