Job summary

Integrated Protection Services is seeking an engineering/design professional to complete assigned designs and drawings per project specifications and maintain current technical knowledge.

The role requires AutoCAD/REVIT proficiency, NICET III or higher, and strong knowledge of security systems, IP networks, and building codes. You will support sales and field technicians while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate’s degree in engineering or related field.
• NICET III or higher certification is required.
• High knowledge using AutoCAD.
• High knowledge of physical security systems and access control systems.
• High knowledge of IP networks and implementation.
• Extensive knowledge of building codes (state/local).
• Strong math, language, and reading skills; fluent in English.
• Proactive and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned designs and drawings per project specifications.
• Maintain training and certification needs.
• Provide sales support for technical issues on proposals and review scope, solutions, equipment, and labor.
• Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming technology, equipment, products, and solutions.
• Use AutoCAD and/or REVIT to produce completed drawings.
• Provide sales & technicians support as needed.
• Review projects that fall into IPS review criteria (by margin percentage, dollar limit, or as requested by peer review).
• Maintain certifications and training needs.
• Accept and resolve calls from customers or IPS field technicians with installation or technical questions.
• Accept and help to resolve calls from AHJs regarding permit application questions.
