Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Security Information Analyst to monitor CCTV, security systems and surveillance equipment to protect campus facilities and people. The role includes reporting equipment and security incidents, coordinating with the Communications Center, and assisting investigations of emergencies and suspicious activities.

Hours may vary; the position is essential and requires a 24-hour call in. A background check and possible drug screen may be required after offer.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with ability to read and write.
• Ability to type and operate a computer terminal.
• Experience communicating effectively with department, university and non-university personnel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras, security systems and surveillance equipment for alarms and suspicious actions.
• Verify safety of buildings and grounds and report malfunctions or security events.
• Maintain communication with Communications Center and security personnel during incidents.
• Assist in investigations of fires, crimes, injuries or suspicious activity.
