The Ohio State University is seeking a Security Information Analyst to monitor CCTV, security systems and surveillance equipment to protect campus facilities and people. The role includes reporting equipment and security incidents, coordinating with the Communications Center, and assisting investigations of emergencies and suspicious activities.
Hours may vary; the position is essential and requires a 24-hour call in. A background check and possible drug screen may be required after offer.
Department: Administration and Planning | DPS Communication and Central Alarm Center
Monitors CCTV cameras, security systems and surveillance equipment for alarms, intrusions, and suspicious actions. Verifies security and safety of University buildings, grounds and property through equipment and protective devices and ensures that these are protected against damage, loss, fire, sabotage, and theft. Reports equipment malfunctions, water leaks, evidence of breaking and entering or equipment damage and other conditions requiring attention. Monitors intrusion detection equipment and maintains communication with Communications Center and other security and law enforcement personnel. Reports and assists in investigation of fires, crimes, unusual incidents, complaints, injuries, accidents or suspicious and unauthorized personnel.

Required Qualifications
High school graduate or an equivalent amount of education and experience; requires successful completion of background investigation; ability to type and operate a computer terminal; ability to read and write common vocabulary; experience communicating effectively with department, university and non-university personnel strongly desired.
Hours and days may vary. Subject to 24-hour call in. This position is identified as an Essential position, whose presence is required regardless of the existence of an emergency condition, and whose absence from duty could endanger the safety and well-being of the campus population and/or physical plant.
Hourly rate is $26.25 per hour
If you work a shift from 3pm to 7am, there will be a Shift Differential of $1.25 per hour.
