Job summary

Brownstone Security is seeking a Security Supervisor for Vehicle Patrol at Arrowhead Town Center and other posts. You will oversee officers, manage postings, and ensure safety across sites.

Responsibilities include coverage of standing posts, handling complex situations, reporting, training, and using mobile systems to complete reports. Candidates must be 21+, hold a Security Guard Permit, a valid driver’s license, and have 2 years security experience. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coverage of standing officer posts as needed and directed by dispatch.
• Assist and/or resolve complex situations involving multiple parties, including violent or unstable individuals.
• Conduct checks of designated accounts for signs of illegal activity or rule violations.
• Perform interior and exterior walking patrols.
• Detain suspects when necessary for safety of employees and the public.
• Evaluate work performance of officers at posts assigned to area.
• Enforce safety rules and post orders.
• Motivate, train and supervise subordinates.
• Use computer, cloud and smartphone systems to complete reports.
• Maintain alertness and observe activities on and around posts.
• Collaborate with staff and client teams across ranks.

Job Skills / Requirements

Brownstone Security is seeking Security Supervisors to provide security and supervision at a variety of sites and posts. Additional duties and responsibilities will be defined in the site-specific post orders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coverage of standing officer posts as needed and or when directed by dispatch.
• Assist and/or resolve complex situations involving multiple parties that may include violent and/or mentally unstable individuals.
• Conduct checks of designated accounts for any signs of illegal activity, violations of rules and/or other activity as designated.
• Conducts random and/or scheduled interior and exterior walking patrols under varying weather and/or environmental conditions.
• Detain suspects, including violent suspects, when necessary for the safety of Brownstone Security employees and the public.
• Evaluate work performance of on duty officers at posts assigned to area/region.
• Implement and enforce all safety rules and procedures established by Brownstone Security and post specific orders.
• Motivate, train and supervise all subordinates as needed.
• Practice all safety rules and procedures, always, as established by Brownstone Security to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Train new officers on post duties as needed.
• Use computer, cloud and smart phone-based systems to conduct a variety of activities including completion of complicated and complex reports.
• Be alert and attentive while on duty to ensure personal safety and your ability to observe activities, irrelevant of working environment.
• Collaborate with all Brownstone Security and client staff, irrelevant of position rank or title.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Observe and report various activities on and around the assigned post.
• Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the security officer is assigned.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Security Guard Permit as required by state law.
• Valid Driver’s License
• 2 years security experience

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.
• See, read, and understand policy and procedure manuals, reports, and other written materials.
• See, read, and recognize obstacles in a variety of normal and/or emergency environments. Have vision that is correctable.
• Ability to frequently enter and exit patrol vehicles throughout the assigned shift.
• Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports and other administrative tasks.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Hear spoken or recorded information.
• Ability to detain a suspect if needed.
• Ability to observe and report activity.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures
• 5 years security or related experience
