Job summary

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is seeking an experienced security professional to protect guests and property on overnight shifts. You will respond to emergencies, monitor surveillance, coordinate with departments, and supervise Tier 2 and 3 officers.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and a clean background; bilingual applicants are highly desirable; a high school diploma and significant security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years hotel security experience or minimum of two years Security Supervisor/Manager experience.
• Military or law enforcement background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, undesired conduct, and threats to life and property.
• Respond to assigned calls and initiate necessary reports and/or corrective action.
• Monitor the employee entrance/exit to ensure appropriate property business.
• Answer security telephone and dispatch calls to officers using a two-way radio system.
• Monitor surveillance system, fire alarm system, property access control door alarm system, and other systems in the security control room.
• Consult internally with Company personnel and departments to assure adequate security.
• Guest room door lock and safe repair.
• Conduct fire watch.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Security equipment
• Serve as Lead Officer and supervision of Tier 2 and 3.
• Initiate fire watch when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
• Availability to work in the Overnight shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
• Bilingual highly desireable.
• High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years hotel security experience or minimum of two years (2) Security Supervisor/Manager experience or other management experience.
