GardaWorld Security Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor security systems, detect threats, and document incidents. You will patrol, control access, and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a set Mon-Fri 7am-3pm schedule, with a competitive hourly wage of $18.50/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) match, PTO, holidays, disability coverage, life insurance, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Level 3 Armed Security License required
• Own equipment (weapon, belt, cuffs, non-lethal items)
• Must be 21+ years old
• Clean driving record
• Stable work history
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, data entry)
• Willing to work odd hours under pressure

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they evolve in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Level 3 Armed Security License
• Ability to provide own equipment(Weapon, Duty Belt, 2 pairs of cuffs and 2 non lethal items)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with no restriction B and clean driving record
• Demonstrate a stable work history
• Have reliable transportation
• Able to climb stairs, walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time
• Computer Skills/ Social Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Data Entry)
• Ability and willingness to work at odd hours and under pressure
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Responsive and strong problem solving skills
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
