Job summary

Job description

Armed Officer Career Path: Candidates hired for this position will begin at the unarmed rate of $25.46 per hour during a 90-day training and evaluation period. After successfully completing the 90-day period and the required Armed Officer Training Program, employees will be promoted to an armed officer role with a pay increase to $28.96 per hour.

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
